HCC has been providing advanced composite solutions for over 15 years.  The company has a team of composites professionals with experience in all aspects of aerospace composites fabrication, who employ leading and proven composites methods and equipment.

Materials and Methods

Thermoforming

HCC produces components from a wide range of composites materials.  In producing thermoformed parts, HCC employs Vacuum Forming, Drape Forming, Compression Forming, and Blow Molding with the following materials:

  • Kydex
  • Acrylic
  • Polycarbonate
  • Polyester
  • Polystyrene

Fibre Reinforced Plastics

HCC employs open and closed molding methods and equipment to produce infused fibre reinforced plastic parts in both epoxy and vinylester resins with room temperature and elevated temperature cure and post cure cycles.  Parts are fabricated with a variety of reinforcements and cores, including:

  •  Fiberglass
  • Carbon Fibre
  • Kevlar
  • Rigid Urethane Core
  • Honeycomb Core
  • Balsa Core

Quality Management

HCC internal quality management system incorporates record keeping, auditing and testing systems to ensure that all manufacturing and final components are compliant with OEM and STC certification.  In addition, independent evaluation by appropriate AMOs are employed to assess compliance with  type, supplemental and airworthiness certificates.

Equipment

CNC Router
HCC employs CNC router equipment in the production of tools, custom production, as well as for precise trimming of canopies, windows and other composite parts.

Thermoforming
HCC has ovens, vacuum formers, as well as a wide range of custom tools for thermoforming canopies, windscreens, windows and covers and trim parts.

Fibre Reinforced Plastic Fabrication
The company uses vacuum and vacuum infusion methods for fiberglass parts combined with both wet and dry preg parts production.
